Melbourne High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) recently donned their best business attire and traveled to the organization’s district conference on February 5, 2016. First implemented in schools in 1942, FBLA strives to provide high school students with the skills necessary to establish occupational goals, to effectively manage money, and to become competent business leaders.

Melbourne’s Ty Cornelius was elected to serve as District VI President and State Vice-President while fellow club member Tristan Weaver was appointed as District VI Parliamentarian. Both will serve during the 2016-2017 school year. Other members placing in individual events and who will compete at the State Leadership Conference are Brittney Dudra (Word Processing), Elijah Conley (Introduction to Business Communications), Bailey George (Health Care Administration), Joni Flemings (FBLA Principles and Procedures), Erin Sullivan (Business Communications) and Ty Cornelius (Public Speaking II).
