Mrs. Mariah Hankins, who teaches English to 7th, 11th, and 12th graders, has recently joined the faculty at Melbourne High School. Mrs. Hankins has a husband, Landrei, and a 5-month-old daughter, Alaine. The family moved here from Virginia Beach, where Landrei, a member of the United States Navy, is currently stationed.  When asked about her educational philosophy, Mrs. Hankins says she wants to share her love of reading with her students. She also believes students should be active in the learning process, so some of her instructional strategies involve hands-on activities and physical movement. She has gotten off to a great start, and Melbourne High School is excited to have her aboard!
