On Friday, February 1, 2019, MHS recognized the following seniors that participate in basketball and cheer:

 

Brittney Dudra: Brittney is a 3-year team leader for the MHS cheer team.  She has been a member of the cheer team for 6 years.  She has been honored as an All-American Cheerleader and received the Top Dance and Outstanding Cheerleader awards.  Brittney is a member of the Beta Club, FCCLA, History Club, Drama Club, and the “Bearkatz Against Drugs” student organization.  She also teaches dance for the North Arkansas Dance & Theater Academy.  After high school, she plans to attend Southwestern Adventist University in Texas and pursue a career in Psychology and Law.

Brittney was escorted by her mother Ginny Dudra, brother, Tyler, and sister, Peyton.

 

Lydia Sipe: Lydia is a 3-year team leader on the MHS cheer team.  She has been a member of the cheer team since 7th grade.  Lydia has received several awards as a cheerleader including All-American honors, Top Flyer, Best Attitude, and Outstanding Cheerleader.  Lydia is also a member of the 2A Girls Cross Country State Championship Team.  She is senior class president, FFA secretary and part of the FFA show team, a member of Beta Club, Drama, History Club, and Student Council.  After graduation, she plans to attend Harding University and major in Education.

Lydia was escorted by her parents, Tracey Chaney and Brad Sipe. 

 

Faith Williams: Faith has been a member of the MHS cheer team for 3 years.  She has received All-American Cheerleader honors, Best Attitude, and Top Stunt awards.  Faith is a member of Beta Club, FCCLA, FBLA, Drama, and History Club.  After graduation, Faith plans to enlist in the National Guard while attending Ozarka College and then attend Arkansas State University in Mountain Home.

Faith was escorted by her parents, Deana and Christian Williams and brother, Reason.

 

Ashley Worsham: Ashley is a 3-year team leader for the MHS cheer team.  She has been a member of the cheer team for 4 years and has been honored as an All-American Cheerleader.  Ashley has received several cheer awards including Top Jumps, Top Stunts, Top Motions, and Best Attitude.  She is senior class secretary and also a member of Beta Club and the Scholarship Club.  After graduation, Ashley plans to attend college and become a teacher.

Ashley was escorted by her parents, Jesse and Alisha Worsham, brother, Ryan, and sister, Lindsay.

 

All 4 of these cheerleaders were part of the first Melbourne competition cheer team, where they placed 3rd in Game Day at the ACCA Cheer Invitational and competed at the Arkansas State Cheer Competition.  

 

#10- Shelby Morris: Shelby has been a part of Bearkatz basketball for 2 years.  She also plays softball and is a member of Beta, FFA, History, and Drama Club.  After graduation, Shelby plans to attend Ozarka College. 

Shelby was escorted by her parents, James and Audra Morris, and sister, Shyann Morris.

 

#33-Halle Cooper: Halle has been a part of Bearkatz basketball for 6 years and golf for 4 years.  In basketball, she has been a member of the Izard County and Northeast Arkansas All-Tournament teams and named as an All-Conference players.  In golf, Halle is a member of two state champion teams and was named an All-State player.  She is also a member of Beta, FBLA, softball, and the Melbourne Church of Christ Youth Group.  Halle is the student council president and was voted the 2019 Homecoming Queen.  After graduation, she plans to attend Arkansas State University and major in Speech Therapy. 

Halle was escorted by her parents, Joe and Holly Cooper, and brother, Roby Cooper.

 

#5 Andrew Pitts: Andrew has been part of Bearkatz basketball for 6 years.  He also plays football and baseball.  Andrew was named All-Conference in football and baseball and All-State in baseball.  He is also involved in FBLA, Student Council, and Beta Club.  After graduation, Andrew plans to attend Arkansas State University and obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. 

Andrew was escorted by his parents, Kenny and Lisa Pitts.
